Avignon…

Is beautiful!  After a solid day of wandering around the old town, visiting the Popes palace, Pont d’Avignon, and a few other sites, we headed back to the car and drove 30 minutes to our friend’s house for the evening.

The atmosphere is much like south Florida sans humidity, and just as hot.  The home is located on a hill at the edge of a village, Saint Michel d’Euzet, of about 600 people and there is an obvious air of relaxed, easy-going contentedness about the place.

There is plenty more to tell and dozens of photos to sort through so I wont delve any deeper at the moment.  But, suffice it to say, this place is beautiful.  We hadn’t realized just how much we needed a relaxing week away from the Paris area until now.

Until later, Bonnes Vacances!
